Do you have a package or parcel from London then place on hold in Malaysia? Then that Cargo is asking for fees or charges for you to pay, so they can deliver it to you? NOTE: SCAM

     If you have the same questions, well maybe scammers were trying to fool you also.

     Their MODUS is this :

1.)  He will try to make you a friend or a girlfriend in any social networking or dating sites your into. (for ex: myspace)

2.)  He will also try to get your trust like telling about more of themselves like living in London, saying that he has a nice job and not just looking for fun.. meaning they want someone to marry.

3.)  Next is he wants to get you mobile number, email address or even your home address.

4.)  If he already knows this information, later on he will send emails to you that this guy is sending a package for you saying that the package have expensive things.. like laptop, ipod, gold necklace, diamond ring and money inside.  He will also give a site with a password and order number so you can trace it.

5.)  After this, the Cargo/Courier will email you or call you.  Informing that your package from London was place on hold to Malaysia because they found a currency on it.  So they'll be asking for charges for you to pay in Malaysian Ringgit currency and pay it in Western Union.

MY STORY:



     I'm just a newbie in Myspace before and really after for music.. dont even think guys can add me up there.  So anyone who wants to add.. I just accept.  So here's a guy telling his name Azzo Elia (note: he can use any other names) telling he's a marine engineer and too busy for work so he cant even chat and will say he likes you already.  You may got wonder why he can't add you there and he cant even do chat in ym... just want to hide his real identity though.

     We always exchange messages there and so he will ask you for you mobile number, home address and email.  He always telling that he wants to give some gifts to me and wants to marry me already.  I really don't believe that he wants me to marry.. knowing me in just 2 months... i'ts sounds weird.

     His telling me that he'll be going to Wales for a project for about 2 to 3 months and after that he will meet me after.  When he tells me that he's on his way to Wales.  He told me that he sent a package for me with expensive things, diamond ring and 5000 Pounds inserted on the laptop.  He said that there's no scanner there so that's why he still put money on it.  The weird thing is that, we know that money is prohibited in package, we can use money transfer instead of it. 

     Then I receive a text message from the Courier/Cargo telling me that I have a package from London and place on hold by the Malaysian Customs because they found a currency inside the package and wants me to pay for charges.  The parcel went from London then to Amsterdam and now in Malaysia.. y it was not scanned first to that places and found out just in Malaysia.

     I talked to the guy who sent it and said that he can't work now because of that,  he didnt know that I got problem because of this and requesting me to pay for the charges 'coz he can't do anything at this time and besides he is not in the city.  He also says that signal is poor in there, so he can't reply often.  From that point, if he's rich why he can't do anything.. he can pay for that and not ask for you to do it.  The signal is poor? but sometimes he can actually reply almost everyday.

     I called up the number registed in my phone which has the country code of +60 (Country code of Malaysia) and that supposed to be from Cargo, don't know how to speak english clearly.  I also asked on how to pay for it, and he gives me a name of Michael Pius from Kuala Lumpur on where to send the money.  It should be in Western Union. From that voice, you can already sense that he's a scammer.  And if that's an Intl. Courier, why you can't pay using credit cards?
